RANDOM AND PSEUDORANDOM
Publication, 2017
Random and Pseudorandom is a publication that illustrates the tension of using a system which is completely deterministic to produce something that has the quality of randomness. A portion of Melvin Bragg’s podcast on BBC Radio 4 where he discusses random and pseudorandom numbers is transcribed and used as a starting point for the project. The text is then manipulated in the following pages to appear random, but at the same time retaining an underlying system to how it is formed.
